Well.. I can stand here and say I havent had problems that this show DID NOT help with, but then i'd be telling a bold lie.
I relate almost the same ways that some of you have, but more with the characters that were in it, when i was younger my dog died in my arms, that had somewhat destroyed me on the inside, when i was a baby i watched ( and still have nightmares of it to this day) my father beating my mother while i was under her, she had the crap kicked out of her coz he wanted to seriously kill me, when i was 14 my grandma who i was very, very close to died in a hospital. which i have always blamed myself for. sometimes i wish i would have had the guts to just say to her when i saw her last that I loved her. instead i ended up telling her i hated her and wished she would just die. i was hurting so badly that i had turned on her, i wasn't there for her when she needed me, she was when i did tho.
so yea, this show is able to make me more happy. I love the story line on how the three of them have to try and think of ways to defeat the demons, save the lives of innocence and make peace of not only never having a "real" life but also hiding the fact they are witches to avoid being burnt at the stake. you can see many of these points in the show in the real life. the trials of these three are actually really going on. hiding in the shadows is much like someone distancing themselves from others for odd reasons, love is universal so that is a good aspect of it as well, the conflicts between the girls and the guys are real life occurances too. you can't have a normal life without stuff like what is being depicted and portrayed in charmed happening to you. it would mean that we are not mortal humans, but we are ANGELS. and truthfully no one on earh is an angel. thats why i like the show

Exactly. The best shows and characters are the ones that provide fantastic escapes but that also feel real. Charmed and basically everyone on the show, first off with the sisters and their guys and then going down even to characters like the 4th season Seer or Elders like Gideon or Odin, just have certain well-conveyed traits about them that make them real.

The reason why I love Charmed is because it shows you that family should stick together and just how close that a family could be.

I lovbe Charmed so much because growing up I wanted the storylines to be real. They loved each other so much and after watching them grow up I almost feel like part of the family. I've grown up with them being around and now the show has gone there's nothing to rush home for on a sat/sunday! Nothing to wait all week for that excitment when you sit down turn the telly on, watch the intro and when your belly flips over as the "How soon is now" theme tune starts playing. How you stare intently at the screen until the break comes on. But you didnt wanna get up unless yo had to incase you missed the start of the next bit. Every single second was worth waiting for and it had to be given its proper respect it was the single most important thing of the week. And now itas gone I still have nothing to replace it after five years!

Ah, yes, the humor. If I forgot to mention it before, allow me to co-sign on that right now.
I'm willing to bet that half the time when the girls watched their own scenes over again, they were laughing their hides off and asking themselves, each other, anybody who was in the room with them at the time, etc. if they really said that.
