Bug and Fester
Rose has two Boston Terriers called Bug and Fester (the later named after The Addams Family's Uncle Fester), who she adores more than anything else in the world! Rose takes them everywhere with her - they have been photographed with her in magazines, several events and she once even took Bug with her to Jay Leno! If you've read any articles of Rose at all, you cannot have missed a mention of the beloved dogs - she once actually interviewed them for Interview magazine!
Rose recently said that she is obsessed with Bug and could watch her all day long. Its obvious that the "freaky gargoyles" make Rose very happy, so we figured they have most certainly earned their own little corner on the web.
"Little freaky gargoyles...like Jim Carrey trapped in dog's bodies. They make me laugh a lot. It's such a working-mother thing."
"I never really owned animals before, but since I've got these two weird dogs. Do you know what Boston Terriers are? They're like bug eyed, black and white, they kind of look like me, black and white with bug eyes. My dog snorts so ever since I've had her I snort when I laugh."
Her Tattoo's
One of Rose's most distinctive features is the tattoo she sports on her right shoulder. The tattoo comes from a design that Rose's grandfather had painted on the side of his WWII plane.
Taking this particular tattoo on as a trademark is also pretty apt as Rose has a love of the 40's and the glamour girls of that era, which, needless to say, she could easily have been one of.
It is well documented that Rose's beauty icons include Marlene Dietrich and Ava Gardner, she is an avid collector of Marlene Dietrich memorabilia and Rose has always been seen as a women who should have been born in the days of the black and white movies. Perhaps in some way, this is her tribute to those women that she idolises and the times that she still seems to emulate.
This tattoo has been visible in a number of her roles, such as Courtney Shane in "Jawbreaker" and Debbie Strand in "Devil in the Flesh"; generally her bad girl roles! Not until the 6th season, of "Charmed" was the tattoo incorporated into her portrayal of Paige Matthews as either Rose or the studio had decided to cover this up for the character; some times more successfully than others. For example in the season 5 episode "Sympathy for the Demon" when Paige believes she is trapped in the baby's bedroom with the walls closing in on her you can see the distinctive mark of her tattoo on through the shirt that she is wearing.
All Good Things...
...must come to an end. ...must come to an end. It seems that the day of Rose's tattoo may be over, if the faded appearance of the tattoo at its 2004 appearances is anything to go by. Whatever the reasons (if any) for the departure of the tattoo, it will be missed and will certainly be remembered as one of Rose's true trademark images.
The Necklace~ If you've been watching Rose 'out and about' or if you're a Charmed fan, it could not have escaped your attention that Rose has grown VERY attached to a necklace that she wears pretty much ALL of the time!
It's obvious that Rose has a real liking for this particular piece of jewellery; safe bets are on it being a present from Dave Zinczenko, but we have no idea the meaning or significance of it
