Hey Well I need help, At school im in all the top sets, And i've been lacking a bit.. In my classes, Especially English, people like to mess around, and just joke, And I can't help but get involved, Im just that sort of person. But when I tell my self to focuse on my education, People still talk and interrupt, And im getting sick of it! They won't listen to the teacher, They won't listen to me or others, Urgh..what shall I do? I need advice on how to not keep getting involved and showing my self up.. And being able to concentrate, when others mess about..because the teacher keeps stopping, and then we learn nothing..it's pointless? I have no clue on what to do.. Please help xx Blessed be x

Hi Piper,
It sound to me like te teacher doesn't take control of the class very well. especilally if he/she is not disaplining the ones distupting the class. It's nice to be able to have fun in class but not all the time. The Teacher should set one day a week where the class is allowed to have fun and get away with it and the rest of the week is just NO NONSENSE. Only YOU can stop yourself from participating in the distuption of the class, so when its happening just ignore the ones doing it. Even if its your friends. Go to your guidence counslor and talk to them about your teacher. Tell them you are having trouble concentrating because they do nothing about the distruptions. If its effecting your grades they have to help. If not go to someone higher up in the food chain. Let me know if it works if not I'll think of something else to get their attention to do something!

Piper, Well first of all, all that really matters is that you do yur part. No matter what other people do, but when it comes to social standing it cam become more of an issue. But always remember, they won't always be there... So save your butt first, before you start gettting all involved with everyone else. You can start by getting telling them to focus on the work and then after your done, you can talk afterwards.

Hi,
I am seventeen years old so I really know what you're gonig through. I've been in school 10 years. 10 long years. It was so great in the kindergarten and the 1st and 2nd grade but then it started getting boring. And the boys (mostly) were interrupting and sometimes we had teachers who wasn't respected and they didn't tell them anything and they were unable to control us. I love English so much and the others didn't know any english and I was really focused, and I'm that type of person that when you joke and mess about in a subject I happen to like, I just turn out "Shut up, I'm trying to concentrate here" they just laughed.
The noise and the laughter and jokes happens when the teacher isn't good at controlling the class. If she/he goes from the start "If I hear anymore jokes, you'll be the first to go down to the principle" and point to the one saying a joke. I believe it would stop with all the noise.
If you can't focus, try ignore them and think of something that you really care about. Sometimes you can put everything on mute. I also think you should try talking to a teacher about it. Tell her/him how you feel and that you can't focus and you would really like to focus.
The teacher should get some respect from the class and if she or he is just sitting quietly looking at the class not knowing what to do if someone does a bad thing, then the class will continuing doing it as they think it's alright. Also classes try to push buttons. See how far they can get. And that's why there's always so much noise in a classroom. I hope everything works out for you. I know it's a late reply but hope it's useful.

Thanks for the advice.. But the problem still exists.
Some people in my class don't have any consideration for people who want to learn. It's just becoming more of a joke now, Talk talk talk, mess around, mess around, mess around..etc That's all that happens.
and BrandySpaw, each and every day should be educational, and make you learn something..sure, school should be fun of course. But not the messing around, talking, etc..
I want to get a good report, I want to be able to focuse, I want to be able to learn something new each day, and at the moment..things arn't at all going the way I hoped.
The teacher does take control..but it's no use, some people don't seem to care what people say, aslong as they disrupt others education and do what they like..that's all they care about.
Thanks for the advice anyway..but I doubt any of it will help.
I love you all so much xxx
Blessed be~x
