Is it just me that was slightly dissapointed by the ending. It really annoyed me they all had the same ending. they all have children and get married. well i suppose piper and phoebe always wanted to, but paige never mentioned having children. but i did like the fact paige carried on helping innocents. I just think three such different women just seemed to become the same.
and also in forever charmed the scene where billie killed christy was so anti-climactic. they could have made that into a really emotional scene like in long live the queen.
and the triad, I dont know, they never struck me as important, the source should have come back, and him billie and chirsty should have been working together, but end up fighting for power. that type of thing would have been better I think.
but maybe it was just the new script writers. season 8 was my least favorite season, billie and christy (BORING!). and the new story and script writers what the sisters would say just didnt sound like them. piper was too scarcastic, her caring side never seemed to show up, and phoebe was wayy too sensible. I understand she has matured, but still, she was almost boring.
but I realy like the very last bit, when the girl shut the door like prue did at the end of each season.
season 8 to me just didnt seem like charmed, it was like they only did the last season to beat buffy, and get the 'longest running tv show with........' title. nothing gave suspense and nothing shocked me in season 8.
thats just my opinion, sorry its so long, lol

I agree with you on some things about Season 8 as a whole, but I personally loved the finale itself.
I personally didn't love the whole Christy & Billie storyline. & Kaley Cuoco, uggh. In my opinion, she really did not do a good job with the acting. Especially that last scene that you mentioned. When she killed Christy, and had to cry. It was terrible. I've heard she's better in comedies, but she just really wasn't good with the drama scenes.
I guess I didn't like some aspects of Season 8, but I thought it ended in such a great way that it basically overruled the parts I didn't love as much.
I understand what you are saying about them all ending up on the same path, but I never thought too far into that.
Frankly, I a lot of people end up getting married & having children. Of course not everyone, but a lot of people. We all know that Phoebe wanted to children, so it was no suprise that she ended up having them.
And as far as Paige goes, we never heard that she didn't want to get married & have kids.
I thought by them all having kids, it sort of showed how the Charmed ones lived on. They showed how they all were able to have families, and also do what they loved.
I also really liked the last part where the girl shut the door.
All in all, I LOVED the finale. So whatever negatives I had for the season itself sort of dissapeared lol. I thought the finale gave us the closure that we all needed.

I raelly loved the ending how everyone meets each other from all times throughout the Paste and the future and see what everyone is like. I think the way the directors made the ending was done really well.

There were a bunch of characters brought in season8 that we didn't even see the characters develop. Kinda think if they brought at least some of them a season so i could of got to know them better. But I loved the happily ever after :] Forever Charmed.
Didn't Paige say she married Henry and had Henry Jr. and twin girls? Or am I wrong?

Yes, Paige married Henry and had 3 children (Henry Jr. and Twin girls).
I loved the happily ever after. I felt like that was what I needed in order for the show to feel complete for me.

I really preferred the seven ending. I can't help but feel part of eight was to beat out Buffy for the longest running show with an all-female lead. I know it sounds bad, but that is what I thought.
That being said, season eight was disappointing as a whole. Oliviaaa, you couldn't have been more right. They added too many new characters that didn't adequately, by my standards which are high, develop.
And Charlotte, I agree with you fully. I watched the season one time through. That is all. Never looked at it a second time.

Although I will admit there were flaws in Season 8, I definitely liked the Season 8 finale more than the Season 7 finale. I'm glad they didn't end it with the Season 7 finale. I felt a lot more closure with Forever Charmed. There was really no comparison in my opinion.
I do agree that not all of the characters were developed. The part that I hated the most was how Coop came in mid-season. I personally think they should've skipped the whole Dex storyline, and had Coop come in right away. His character would have been able to become a lot more developed in that case. And considering Phoebe ends up with him, the fans deserved to get to know him more.
But even though I didn't love every aspect of the season, I did love the finale. I felt like it was the perfect way to end the series. I thought they did a great job with it.

I think the ending was quite nice because it didn't leave everyone open... (like season 7's ending) sometimes that's quite good or fits, but in this case I would have wondere what would be if and I far more like it ending in an happy end. =) But I agree that the actual storyline of season 8 wasn't really amazing... I would have liked a comeback of Prue... or maybe Cole... I've already been missing him =D would have been time for another comeback... well. And I neither really liked Billie nor Christy... actually I couldn't stand Christy... The last scene with the door is great. =) That's just typically charmed and sort of dedicated to Prue.

I completely agree about the last scene. That was perfect. I really though the whole last few minutes were done amazingly well (I mean from the point when they start showing their futures). It just tied up all lose ends, and was perfect in my opinion. I really couldn't have asked for much more in the finale.
Although I would have liked to have Prue to be in the finale, I understood why they didn't bring her back. Even if Shannen agreed to come back, it would have cost more than it cost to bring back all of the other characters (they said it would have cost them just as much just to put her picture on the wall as it did to get all the people they got back, back).
And I agree on the whole not like Billie & Christy thing. I personally really didn't like Billie. Christy was at least a bad guy. But Billie was this inbetween person that swayed from side to side. I don't know... I just found her to be kind of annoying.

I personally didn't enjoy the finale at all...apart from the little girl closing the door...the whole going back in time to save Phoebe and Paige...as good as an idea it was...the whole "coops ring" thing...what a crock...and they can go ALL the way back to when Phoebe wasn't even born but not back to grab Prue... I realise is the whole Shannen not coming back thing (even though she wasn't asked)...but still they could have done better than that....why go that far back ....why not say...they could only go back so many years or something to explain why they couldn't bring Prue forward....and also the whole Coop thing....that's like a slap in the face to Phoebe..."oh the elders sent him to you"...really...are they saying she cant find her own husband...and if it had to be a Cupid...why not the guy from S2 that she actually share intimacy with...that would have been more believable... I couldn't stand this Coop...but my biggest gripe was when Patty (as much as I love her) referred to Prue as a 'door'..."when one door closes, another opens"....really...anyway...just my opinion... rant over
