Best indication that it was very successful, other than lasting 5 more years after Rose joined in?
We're still sitting here talking about it and the last episode is over 2½ years old by now.

lol yes that is a very indication. The fact that discussions are still going on now, after all this time, proves how much of a lasting impression Charmed had.

Thank you to those who informed me of the actresses that turned down the part. Your old goat grams here had no idea. The scary part is that I did not know about Jennifer. Too bad I did not know her, as I would have given her some witchy advice. Not that it really matters, as it would seem she ended up moving into a magical mode anyway...How strange is that. Maybe she when into Ghost Whisperer realizing she made a mistake. A second chance? Spooky.

You never know. It could very well be. But I think it all worked out for the best

I think Charmed was great either way. I love Shannen's acting, but I love Rose's as well. It's hard to choose from something like this because the show is my absolute favorite and will always be.

This is for all of you fans that thought it would have been smart to bring back Prue at some point and make it the Power of Four. Yes, I am in agreement. The power of three was a good jumping off idea but adding another might have been more in keeping with The Craft. Three has tones of God The Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost. The Craft speaks of the four winds and the four elements (Fire, Earth, Air and Water). As for powers crossing into each other who says they could not have learned from each other? Also, I am sure that other aspects of magical abilities could have been added.

I actually think it would be pretty sweet if we could see a movie centered four years after season 8 (so that it meets a 2010 release date), where there's still one major demonic threat left out there, bigger and better than anything they've ever faced before, that requires the Power of Four to defeat, allowing Prue to come back one last time and explaining why her soul was blocked from contact with the living until that point. Perhaps a cameo from Cole as well to save Phoebe and Coop from certain death using his powers as… whatever the hell he is, leading to the P4 final victory. That Cole cameo would be a "you owe me" on so many levels, and the Power of Four scene would be remarkable.

That would be amazing . I know I would definitely go to see that movie! I think the writers could come up with an amazing storyline, but sadly that would not be the issue. They could easily write Shannen Doherty into the movie, but would they all agree to come back? That's where the issues arises lol.
