Everytime there is a war, we send people to their death. We dont stop and think about the damage we are doing until it happens to someone we care about. Do you believe that war is the result to every conflict countrys have? Do you believe that its right to train people to go and Die for people who most of them dont even realize the reality of things. Do you believe its fair to the familys of those people? What do you think about war?

I think it depends. I've seen MySpace videos alone and just see the suffering and deep sorrow in the faces of the families who have lost a lived one to war. Now, there are certain past wars that I can agree were great for this country, but for the one now, I just think it's very wrong, or if not, extremely unneccessary.

Well, I'm a veteran so I may have a different perspective from some of the board members. First, war is never desired, especially by those who have to fight it. But there are times when it is necessary. In my opinion it should be the absolute last resort.
As for the war today, I will only say that we have had an all volunteer army for many, many years. I'm not saying they want to go to war but every soldier, sailor, or marine knows that it's a very real possibility that they may have to go to war.
One of the reasons for maintaining a standing army is to make sure we remain relatively safe from aggressors. I won't comment on the current conflict in Iraq because that's a whole other kettle of fish but I think that war is sometimes a necessary evil we have to put up with if we're to remain free and help protect our friends and allies. I do hope that one day humanity will progress to the point where such conflicts are no longer necessary but I fear that day is very far in the future.

No war is reduciulous you don't have to have a war to save lives! Our stupid country is just still in this war because we think were big and bad and refuse to put down the guns and stop the slaughter of innocent people! We sit here and lose the people we love for a reason we don;t even remember anymore we set out for justice and started a massacre!what right do we have to do that!?!?!?What right does anyone have to do that!?!?!?People are losing the ones they love, the soldiers aren't suffering the people who love them and are losing them are suffering!Bush is a freakin moron, he doesn't know how to be a president he doesn't even know how to spell it!War isn't the answer we just think it is.As for other wars there were plenty where we wouldn;t be who we are today and just as many where we didn't have to show off our brutality.

i think a war is not the right way to bring another country justice, freedom or something else. no question that these values are good and right but if you want to force them i don't think that the attacked country will love them. if you beat a little child and force it with means of violance to eat chocolate, do you think that the child will love the chocolate? i think the child will hate it! so war is the wrong way for me but i also don't have an idea what could be the right way. diplomacy seems very useless sometimes...

I don't think we should start a war .But we should and need to protect ourselves from all the nuts and crazies who start a war. And if they are not stopped they will continue to terrorize our people/countries. Do I feel sorry for all those who are killed protecting their country? Yes I do. But they also know what the risks and chances are when they enlist. I do not agree with drafting . It 's almost like a Holicust.

Don't get me wrong,I don't think people should be dying either. But do we deserve to be terrorized by some crazy nut who enlists people to do his dirty job for him because really he's a coward(yes i'm talking about Bin Laden). With every generation there is always going to be someone like that(Hitler,Sadam,Bin Laden) We can at least try to stop the cycle of violence and unfortunately people will get hurt or die. And unfotunately even if he were killed he's already trained someone to continue "his" fight.
